U.S. wary of involvement in Ukraine/Russia crisis: New Pew poll
WASHINGTON—The U.S public does not want the U.S. to get too involved in the wake of Russia sending troops to Ukraine, according to a new survey from the Pew Research Center. And there is a big political split between how people see the Obama administration handling the crisis.
Some findings from the poll:
*56% say “it is more important for the U.S. to not get involved in the situation with Russia and Ukraine than to take a firm stand against Russian actions.”
*44% disapprove of the Obama administration handling the crisis; 30% approve, 26% have no opinion.
However……. There is a partisan divide here…
*67% of Republicans disapprove of the Obama administration handling of the crisis.
*56% of Democrats approve.
*52% of Independents disapprove.
